Niket Patel

Currently a Research Intern at Meta FAIR (Paris).

I’m a PhD student at the NYU Courant Institute in the Center for Data Science, advised by Julia Kempe. I am interested in lots of things, but I currently work on the intersection of AI and Math, including AI for Math (autoformalization, reinforcement learning and LLMs), and Math for AI (information theory, world models, and self-supervised learning).

Previously, I completed a joint BS/MS in Applied Mathematics and Mathematics at UCLA (Departmental Scholars Program), where I was interested in diffusion models, optimal transport, and statistical mechanics. I’ve spent time as a research intern at ETH Zürich (Swiss Data Science Center) and WorldQuant.
